mysteries of social networks.

In Facebook, whenever I post a status message or a pic, there are people who usually say a line or two. I can almost count on them to make me feel that whatever I said or did was worth their while, as well. Or they just have not seen me for a long long time. It could also be because they are too polite. =)

The funny part is this: My best friends are usually the ones who are silent. They would rather chat with me, and I think they know that the things that I have been writing down are a bit of small talk or a shallow part of my day or my life and what they really wanted is a deeper conversation. They wanted more than the one-liners I can share. I think the friends who try to comment, are also giving me a chance to be their good friend.

Another funny part is this: I checked out this application that says "who is checking your profile." I wonder how accurate that is because the people in the top ten has not been commenting or sending me a private message even. Glad to know that they too would like to know more about my life, too.

Whatever the reason, people are looking for a way to keep tabs with families and friends.
